UCSF Medical Office Building & Osher Center

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA  KMD won a design competition for the new Mount Zion Medical Office Building, a 48,000 SF, five-story building. The facility accommodates the growing needs of outpatient services affiliated with the University of California at San Francisco-Mount Zion Hospital campus. A number of medical offices are housed there, including the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, a leading alternative medicine resource whose stated mission is “combining both conventional and alternative approaches that address all aspects of health and wellness—biological, psychological, social and spiritual.” The building has landscape features including a garden on a fourth floor terrace and wood elements on the facade, reflecting important Asian design elements of water, wind and earth.

The building is LEED Silver Certified.
