Detroit Lions Stadium-Ford Field Warehouse
DETROIT, MICHIGAN, USA The new 1.5 million SF domed Ford Field Stadium and warehouse development, built for the Detroit Lions, is an integral component of the rejuvenation of downtown Detroit and the first NFL stadium to integrate a mixed-use commercial development that leverages the infrastructure for year round use. The $550 million stadium is connected to the existing one million SF historic Hudson’s Warehouse that houses luxury suites, club areas, team store, food service and press areas for the stadium. Included in the warehouse is a commercial development with a nightclub/restaurant, 200-room hotel, office space and various retail. The complex unearths a lost sense of history through its reinvention of the“warehouse” district. The space celebrates the traditional industrial themes of Detroit’s past yet rejuvenates the warehouse through a series of sky lit atria that foster a sense of urban streets.
