Nadya Park
Nagoya, Japan
Envisioned as a catalyst for the downtown rejuvenation, the 1,000,000 SF building boosts Nagoya's emergence as Japan's "Design Capital," housing high-end retail stores, office space and an international design center with a 300-seat multi-purpose hall and a 700-seat auditorium. The building is comprised of two towers connected by a 50-meter tall atrium. Rather than columns, the atrium relies on spidery steel framing which allows light to flood in from all sides.
